Ora, io non sono un grande esperto di questo settore, ma da qualche anno dopo aver fanculizzato Windows e tutti i programmini da lammer(Windows Movie Maker, Photostory, Digital Photo Slide Show e compagnia bella) ho incominciato a studiare, proprio studiare, questi programmi, su Linux, ma a livello professionale(su Linux non esiste il concetto di fare una cosa male, o meglio, se c'è, sono proprio pochi i programmi che ti permettono di fare una cosa, giusto per farla), cioè capendo cosa have codecs, formats and other things and especially reading the manuals of the programs (which I've never done on Windows). È una figata assurda! Si può fare di TUTTO. Dalla creazione di modellini, giochi di animazione, rigging e ha funzionamento simile a Cinelerra, nella parte di Compositing(Non lo uso per fare Video-editing perché non mi piace il modo in cui gestisce le risorse, forse non sono molto pratico del programma, ma per creare giochini è una apocalittico). Inoltre, vanta una grandissima documentazione anche in lingua italiana a differenza di tutti i programmi visti finora.
Dispone inoltre di funzionalità per mappature UV, simulazioni di fluidi, di rivestimenti, di particelle, altre simulazioni non lineari e creazione di applicazioni/giochi 3D
Jack

Il programma sopraindicato è Ardour, è il corrispettivo di Audacity però a livello molto professionale. Permette di controllare tutte le tracce audio in modo superbo. È, inoltre, in grado di Mixare, fare editing, Mastering e gestire il MIDI. Una cosa molto importante è il fatto che riconosce in automatico la macchina che stiamo utilizzando e di ottenere le migliori prestazioni a seconda della componentistica hardware.
E l'ultima cosa è l'orchestra, gestito da Qsynth. È un programma che ci permette di prendere alcuni soundfont(Io uso sf2) e di utilizzarli per far funzionare Rosegarden(Il quale ha soltanto il testo, ha bisogno di qualcosa che suoni per lui, cioè Qsynth). Di fatto è l'interfaccia GUI di fluidsynth.
Come vedete, tutti i programmi passano per Jack, come abbiamo già detto.
Conclusion: Oh well there are quite a package of programs.
